Speedwell Forge Lake Dam Rehabilitation

Zartman Construction removed the existing concrete spillway and constructed a new cast-in-place concrete replacement. The replacement included an earth embankment with a concrete parapet, removal of existing rip-rap and reconstruction of the breached embankment. Earthen fill was used to cover RCC and raise the left embankment.
Zartman poured two-foot thick concrete slabs and tapered walls. The work also included extending the conduit into a new concrete outlet.
Approximately 4,000 cubic yards of concrete were poured for the project.
